Summer Programs

July 6 - July 30, 1:00 - 3:15 p.m. (Monday - Thursday)

Participants choose one two-week session during this time period. 

Session #1: July 6 - July 16

Session #2: July 20 - July 30

Join us on a quest for learning! Through this program, all students entering PK-8 in the 2026-2027 school year (and graduating 8th graders) can choose to spend their afternoons enjoying two enrichment classes - from art and creative writing to engineering, food science, and more! July 6 - July 30, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Monday - Thursday)

Students who qualify for Dual Language classes, or English language/bilingual services, are eligible to participate in this free program that provides language instruction and academic support for English learners. Free breakfast provided every day. Materials and transportation are provided free of charge.  This program will take place at Apollo Elementary. Contact Erika Campos at 847.493.8421 with questions.

Please note: The ML Summer Scholars Program is designed to support students' academic and linguistic growth throughout the summer. Consistent attendance is necessary as each day's tasks and activities are connected. While we know unplanned absences can come up due to illness, etc., we expect students to attend each scheduled day of the program.

Escuela de Verano para Estudiantes Multilingües (ML)
Los estudiantes que califican para clases de lenguaje dual o servicios de idioma inglés/bilingües son elegibles para participar en este programa. Todos los días se sirve un desayuno gratuito. La escuela de verano será gratuita, esto incluye transporte.  Este programa toma lugar a Apollo Elementary. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con Erika Campos at 847.493.8421.  

Nota: El programa ML Summer Scholars está diseñado para apoyar el crecimiento académico y lingüístico de los estudiantes a lo largo del verano. La asistencia constante es necesaria ya que las tareas y actividades de cada día están conectadas. Aunque sabemos que pueden surgir ausencias imprevistas por enfermedad, etc., esperamos que los estudiantes asistan a todos los días programados del programa.

Free morning kindergarten readiness program that strengthens students' literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.  In addition, participants have opportunities to apply language through listening, speaking, reading, and writing; and engage in dramatic play and academic centers.  Held in person at the Early Learning Center, RSK is specifically designed for multilingual learners and/or students with limited preschool experiences.  Free breakfast provided every day. Materials and transportation are provided free of charge.

• Please note: In order to participate, RSK participants must be fully registered for kindergarten in D63.

• Interested in having your child attend? Complete the Ready, Set, Kindergarten Interest Form and a district representative will reach out via email in March.

June 22 - 25 OR June 29 - July 2, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Thursday)

Participants choose one week to attend Robotics Camp.

Robotics Camp is open to all students entering grades 6 - 8 in the 2026-2027 school year.  While all experience levels are welcome, this is an excellent way to introduce students to the fascinating and technical world of robotics! Students may choose one four-day session to attend. 

Campers will work together to complete activities that will challenge them to think critically and grow their understanding of coding and programming. Students will join the Expanded Learning Summer Camp for lunch and recess. All materials and lunch will be provided by the district. Please note: parents/guardians must provide their own transportation for this program.
