Preventive Measures and Mental Health
District 63 takes a proactive approach to the social-emotional well-being and mental health of our students and staff. We have a variety of programs aimed at creating and maintaining a healthy and safe teaching and learning environment for students and staff.
PBIS - All District 63 schools practice PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports). Staff members consistently teach, model and reinforce appropriate behaviors for students. PBIS teaches students to be responsible for their own behaviors with the motto: Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible.
Social-Emotional Wellness and Mental Health
District 63 takes a proactive approach to students’ mental health, as we recognize that students are unable to engage in learning if they are struggling socially, emotionally or mentally.
