    Welcome to Mrs. Phillips' 8th Grade English Language Arts and/or Advisory website!
     

    My name is Melissa Phillips, and I will be your teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I am looking forward to working together and getting the semester started off strong.

    Please know as you walk through the hallways of Gemini that you are surrounded by people who deeply care about you, who are guided by a passion for helping you to reach your potential, and who wholeheartedly believe in you…every day…always. You are valued and your contributions are important.

    My goal is to provide support and encouragement in your journey to improve your reading and writing skills but also teach you how to make a positive impact on our world.  You are capable of amazing things!!  Don’t hesitate to let me know if there’s anything I can do to help during the process.  

    Be positive!!! Get excited!  Come with me on a journey to discover interesting ideas and unique perspectives from writers, thinkers, philosophers and storytellers!!!
