Dr. Scott Clay, Superintendent Dr. Clay has served as Superintendent of East Maine District 63 since 2009, having joined the District in 2003 as Principal of its Stevenson Elementary School. He was promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Pupil Services in 2006. Dr. Clay began his career as a 4th/5th-grade teacher at Indiana’s DeKalb County Central United School District, where he also served as middle school Assistant Principal and an elementary school Principal. Dr. Shawn Schleizer, Associate Superintendent Dr. Schleizer joined District 63 in 2010 as Principal of its Melzer Elementary School. In 2014 he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, and took on his current position in 2017. Previously, he served as Assistant Principal for both Elmwood Park CUSD 401 and Evanston/Skokie School District 65 – and as Principal at School District U-46. Dr. Schleizer holds an Ed.M. in planning and social policy administration from Harvard University. He earned his Ed.D. in educational leadership from National Louis University. Mr. Roberson joined District 63 in 2014 as Assistant Principal at Nelson School. He served for two years as Principal of Apollo Elementary before being promoted to his current position in 2017. Mr. Roberson holds a BA in elementary education from Purdue University, an MA in educational administration and supervision from Ball State University, and is currently pursuing his doctorate through Vanderbilt University. He presents locally, nationally, and remotely through CLASS Education, Inc. and Brain to Brain Teaching, both professional development organizations. Contact Mr. Roberson.

Jordi Camps, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services/Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Camps joined District 63 in 2016. A certified public accountant, he previously held several positions at Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, beginning his tenure as a credit and financial analyst for the Latin American Region and ultimately serving as Operations Controller – Product Development, successfully administering a $400 million budget. Mr. Camps holds a BS in accounting and finance from Florida International University and an MBA from DePaul University. Contact Mr. Camps.
