The 2019 School Board Elections will be included in the Spring Consolidated Elections on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. District 63 residents will be electing three individuals to serve 4-year terms. The seats are currently held by Board members Janet Kaczkowski and Tom Simmons as well as the vacancy created by outgoing board member Angelo Scarsella.
School board candidates will file their nominating petitions and paperwork directly with the Cook County Clerk's Office. The Clerk has announced that the first day for school board candidates to circulate nominating petitions will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018. The candidate filing period begins Monday, December 10; the first day for candidates to file their original nominating petitions, statement of candidacy, and receipt of filing of Statement of Economic Interests, to the office of county clerk or county board of election commissioners. Monday, December 17, 2018, the candidate filing period ends.
The Candidate’s Guide for 2019 has been prepared to provide information for candidates seeking office at the local level in 2019. It includes a listing of offices nominated or elected at the Consolidated Primary Election on February 26, 2019, and at the Consolidated General Election on April 2, 2019.
