    Dear students and parents,

It is my pleasure to be taking over Mrs. Arreguin’s classroom while she is on leave. I have been a substitute at Gemini throughout this school year, so, already, I know many of her students, which is great news for the smooth transition that we are planning for the remainder of sixth grade.

Certainly, after spring break, there is some uncertainty as we move forward. As we continue e-learning, I will be updating Mrs. Arreguin’s teacher page and sending daily emails to students. It is our aim that the goals and lessons that we set remain thoughtful and that we are diligent in our efforts to make a connection with students and preserve a sense of community during these trying times.

My pedagogical approach consists of a high-level of engagement as well as a commitment to challenging everyone (including myself) to bring their most sincere efforts. In this way, I focus on process as much as outcome, encouraging students to not essentialize but rather see themselves as having the ability to grow.

That being said, I am excited to work with you all–both parents and students. Please do reach out with questions or concerns. Thank you!
