Welcome to the Washington School Library Media Center where READING is our favorite thing to do.

• We believe every student is a reader. A good reader.
• We encourage the pursuit of personal interests through reading.
• We encourage curiosity about the world around us.
• We empower students to become discriminating users of information.

Every class visits the Library weekly for a lesson and to check out books. Students in kindergarten and first grades may check out one book per week. Students in grades 2-5 may check out two books per week. Students may be able to check out more than two books a week, depending on their needs and responsibility level. There are no overdue fees at the Washington Library. If a book is lost or severely damaged, please contact Mrs. Glenn to arrange payment or an alternative.
