     E-Learning Day Assignments for Week of 3/30-4/3
    This week you have a Novel Study Tic-Tac-Toe Choice Board, you can choose any 3 in order to complete Tic-Tac-Toe. Instructions are on the top of the assignment.  You will have various options in representing your work, Seesaw, Flipgrid, Youtube, Wevideo, Readers Notebook, Digital Notebook. The list goes on, you have a digital and non-digital platfrom, choice is yours.   HAVE FUN!

    A few tips:
    Create a folder labeled " Novel Study Choice Board Assignments", the reason for that I will be checking it at the end of the week, I know a lot of your assignments are on digital platforms such as padlet, seesaw and more, however if it isn't, it should be saved under your folder.
    - Try to go through classlink for your apps, it would help you out.
    - Contact me, your classmates if you have any trouble, or are just not sure of the assignment.
    - Once I know a little more about GoogleHangouts, get ready we are going to have a book discussion, or just to see each other
    I miss you all so much!!!!
    - Have fun with these assignments, and remember not all of it needs to be done on a digital platform, you can choose other ways.

    Tic-Tac-Toe Choice Menu:Novel Study  

    Directions: Please make sure when posting on any digital platform, you are labeling the assignment: Novel Study Tic-Tac-Toe Choice #3

    Start with number 5 and then make two other choices to make your tic-tac-toe.


    #1Create a fictional interview video with the protagonist, antagonist, or author where you play the character/author and dress the part. Write a complete script in Google Docs and submit with the video.


    One choice can be  flipgrid.

    #2Create four character trading cards using the digital tool of your choice. Remember to include the character’s name, an image, and at least five characteristics for each character.


    Canva is a great tool.

    You can also make the trade cards, be creative.

    #3 Write a diary entry from the point of view of one of the story’s main characters that they would have written before, during, or after the book’s events. Remember that the character’s thoughts and feelings are very important in a diary.

    Choices: Readers Notebook, or Digital Notebook.

    #4Create an interactive digital timeline of events from your book. Include important dates, character introductions, conflicts and resolution, images to represent each event, and links to additional information, videos, etc.


    Padlet has a great timeline option. Or create your own timeline in your notebook and post.


    Introduce your book, picture and any inferences you have at this point. Post on Seesaw:)

     After introducing your book, write a one-paragraph summary of your novel, and share on Seesaw. Add an image of the book cover and any symbolism that represents your book.

    #6 If this novel had a soundtrack, what would it be? Create a YouTube playlist or Seesaw document  with at least 10 songs that would make a great soundtrack. Explain and justify your choices.

    You will post this assignment on Seesaw anytime after April 1st.

    #7 Create a comic strip retelling the story in your own words. Be sure to include all of the important characters, exciting events, conflicts, and resolution.

    Draw it out yourself.

    Post on Seesaw with description:

    #8 Create a video book trailer using the digital tool of your choice. Remember to include music to set the tone, and tell a brief story about the central conflict and characters without revealing too much! Tease the audience!

    #9 Create a new book jacket for the novel. Use the digital tool of your choice or the artistic medium of your choice (draw, paint, etc.). Remember to include a summary about the author and an eye-catching cover image.

    Once completed please post on Seesaw, do not forget to label your assignment.
