E-LEARNING RESOURCES FOR LIBRARY CLASSES
Week of 3/30-4/3/20: All grades--Let's work on some research skills using PebbleGo (find it in your ClassLink folder).
Here is a link to a Google Doc that has more links to complete some online reading to do during the COVID-19 school closures. I will add more resources throughout the closure, so please check back frequently. Also, on the right side of the Apollo Library website (look to your right) is my Twitter feed where I have been posting all kinds of resources for you to use. There are links to authors reading their own works, illustrators doing guided drawing, and many other resources that you can access for free online during the school closure.
Grades 3-5 check your Google Drive "shared with me" folder for some Spooky Stories activities.
Grades K-2 click here for a link to a reading BINGO board.
If you have access to LEGOs or any other type of building bricks, create challenges for your family to follow, such as building a LEGO zoo or creating a new world for your favorite game. There are so many benefits to working with LEGOs such as patience, organizational skills, constructive problem solving, better focus and concentration, and many others.
Use objects found in your home to invent something. Then illustrate and label it.
Choose an area of the Earth that you would like to help (ocean, land, air, energy solutions, etc.). Do some research (use PebbleGo or WorldBook Online from your ClassLink folder) to figure out how you might solve the problem, and then on scratch paper create a prototype that we can recreate with our Makerspace materials when school is back in session.
ILLINOIS CHILDREN'S CHOICE AWARD RESULTS

BOOK FAIR UPDATE
Our hope is to be able to run the Scholastic Book Fair once school is back in session. Check back here for details as I will update you as soon as I know more.
