Safely Back to School Plan 2021-2022
-
East Maine 63 is committed to keeping its schools open - and our students, staff, and families as safe as possible during our return to school.
All students in grades K-8 attend school for a full day on each school day and preschoolers attend their in-person half-day schedule unless they are entitled under State Board rules to remain in remote learning.

Remote Learning
This year, D63 is not offering a remote learning program because, under the current Illinois State Board of Education guidelines, almost no student qualifies:". . . remote instruction may be made available for students who are not eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine and are under a quarantine order by a local public health department or the Illinois Department of Public Health."
In addition, a student who has a family member ineligible for a vaccine and under a quarantine order does not qualify for remote learning.
Learning During Exclusion
Should your child(ren) need to stay home due to COVID-19, your school will contact you about how they can continue to learn remotely. Programs differ by school - preschool, elementary, and middle school all include different components. Questions?
