Hello Kindergarteners and Parents!
Welcome to Room 109!
Our 2019-2020 kindergarten year is off to a great start. The first year of full-day kindergarten in Melzer School will be filled with fun and learning in the form of intentional play, music and movement, student-driven reading and literacy, and hands-on science and social studies inquiry.
As we move further into the year, I hope you find this class webpage a useful place to access links and helpful information related to what we are doing in class.
Please know you can contact me with any questions or concerns you might have about any part of your child's school day or kindergarten experience. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or give me a call on my classroom phone at (847) 745-6442.
I am thrilled to be a part of East Maine District 63, and the educational community at Melzer School. For the past three years, I worked in special education in northern Wisconsin. I moved back to Skokie, where I grew up, this past summer, and have been enjoying being close to family again. In my free time, I enjoy riding my bike, reading, speaking Spanish, making homemade pizza, and exploring the outdoors, especially the National Parks of the United States.
