    Wednesday April 1- Thursday April 2- Friday April 3:

    • Access the google document assignment sheet on Google Classroom. Read ALL Directions carefully!
      • Newsela Choice Text Set- Pick 2 out of 5 articles to read.
      • Vlog Check In. Record short 4-5 minute video using your chromebook or any other device. Upload to Google classroom on Friday. 
      • Quickwrite on Writing Wall (Padlet).

      • Respond to the five questions that accompany video.
      • Video and questions can be accessed via Google Classroom.
      • Open the google document to view the video. Submit finished assignment on Google classroom.

    Tuesday March 31:

    • Access the "Character Traits and Conflict" Document available on Google Classroom. Watch the Pixar short film "Lifted" and complete the activity. 
      • Link to the short film is provided within the activity document.
      • Don't forget to submit on Google Classroom.
      • All directions are included with the activity. 
    • Access the Writing Wall padlet available on Google Classroom.  
      • Respond to the cartoon posted under Tuesday March 31 2020 by clicking on "Add comment".
      • DO NOT click on the plus sign at the bottom of the cartoon as it will add an additional column. 

    E-Learning Day Assignment For Social Studies 3/31/2020

    Tuesday March 31:

    • Access the "Immigration Assignment" through BrainPop. Go to Brainpop through your Class Links to log in to BrainPop. Click on Dashboard.
      • Watch the video on immigration.
      • Read the related reading titled "Sickness and Health"
      • Complete the "Immigration survey" worksheet.

    • Read your Independent Reading book/Any book you have access to for 30 minutes. Complete the Independent Reading - Text Summary 
      • This can be found on Google Classroom. 
      • Turn in completed document on Google Classroom.

      • Finish 2 activities -- Must get a score of "yellow" or "green", Feel free to try the activity again!

    • Complete the presentation we started last Friday with your research group "Recognizing Arguments in our Research Topics" - (this should be in your Google Drive - ELA folder) 
      •  Everyone in the group should be participating and assisting in the completion of this presentation. 
    • Complete and turn in "Reflection: Recognizing Arguments in our Research Topics" 
      • This can be found on Google Classroom.
      • Turn in this completed document on Google Classroom.
    • Infographics
      • Turn in ALL infographics on Google Classroom

    Thursday March 19: 

    • Back to your research topics -- Find A NEW SOURCE (article/video/infographic/etc.) that is NOT LISTED on the list of sources we gave you in class.  
      • Take notes on this source using the same "Research Notes template" we've been using in class. 
      • Turn in your completed notes on Google Classroom.

    E-Learning Day Assignment  For Social Studies Classes 3/18-3/19: 

    1. Students can acess the DBQ Online documents they have started in class. Students are to complete the essay builder portion of the assignment once the four documents are completed. Instructions for this can be found on google classroom as well. DBQ online is an app students access through QuickLinks on their chromebooks. Please email me if you have any questions about this.  
    2.  Complete the vlog assignment. Assignment sheet can be accessed via google classroom.
