Fee Waiver & Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

  • IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to the unique circumstances brought about by the COVID19 pandemic and the challenges our families are facing this year, 2020-2021 school year fees will will be waived with the exception of transportation fees (which will be discounted by 50 percent) and technology fees.  

    We are aware that many families have already paid their 2020-2021 fees in full and we are in the process of refunding these fees to the credit cards used to pay them. There is no need to contact the District; if your family did already pay in full we have that information in our system.

     

    Fee Waiver Application

    East Maine School District 63 provides every student with equal educational services regardless of his or her financial means. The District waives fees for students who meet certain eligibility criteria. A student qualifies for a fee waiver if the family’s income is below the designated income to receive free lunches, the student or family is receiving public aid, or the family is faced with an extenuating circumstance, such as illness or unemployment.

    Free & Reduced Lunch Application

    Children need healthy meals to learn. East Maine School District 63 offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.65; lunch costs $2.85. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. The reduced price is $.30 for breakfast and $.40 for lunch. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, use the Household Eligibility Application, which is attached. We cannot approve an application that is not complete, so be sure to fill out all the required information.
