Superintendent's Office
Welcome to East Maine School District 63. Our seven schools seek to empower all students to succeed in a changing world by offering a diverse learning environment that supports each student's unique pathway to success within a caring environment. We're committed to providing all students with the specific opportunities they need to thrive. Now, more than ever, they must have the skills to adapt to an ever-changing world.
Academic achievement is at the heart of our mission. We meet this goal by exceeding state learning standards, equipping our students and staff with 21st-century technology, and providing targeted intervention where students need it most. From inclusive special education settings and dual-language classrooms to high school-level math offerings, a wide range of middle school electives, and outstanding music and athletic programs, District 63 offers quality education.
But we know that success goes far beyond test scores. That's why D63 focuses on the whole child, fostering social, emotional, and behavioral growth. Our exceptionally diverse schools offer a multicultural perspective that enhances our students' education, and we stress the District's connections with the larger community to benefit both.
Success without boundaries. Every day, our teachers and dedicated education professionals live this philosophy, fostering success beyond all kinds of perceived limits to learning. Whether it be a different language, special needs, specific academic challenges, or unfamiliarity with this country and community.
My job is to ensure that every one of our schools provides the best possible education for your child. Superintendents are the link to your elected Board of Education, which sets District policies, and the education professionals who guide our students daily. If you have questions or need additional information, please call us at 847.299.1900. We're happy to help.
