    Meet the Teacher

    • I am so pleased to be teaching MATH 600 & STEAM at Gemini Middle School! For 24 years, I worked as a project engineer for construction and public improvement projects and am very excited to bring this real-world experience into the classroom. Four years ago, I went back to school and received a Master’s Degree in Middle School Education, specializing in Mathematics. I previously taught at a private middle school for 3 years teaching 6, 7, and 8th grade math.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University and a Masters of Teaching in Middle School Mathematics from North Park University.

I am a strong believer in the power of a growth mindset and in the notion that all of us are 'math people'! I believe that through hard work, perseverance, positivity, and a little grit, students can reach any goal they set in math.

Throughout this year, we will support each other through encouragement, respect, and a sense of community. Students will be asked to speak like mathematicians, learn from their mistakes, and take academic risks in order to learn and grow!

When I am not teaching math, I enjoy spending time with my family & close friends! I enjoy exercising, biking, vacationing, reading, and baking.

I look forward to a happy, peaceful, and productive school year!
