Hello!

My name is Selma Jezerak and I will be your student’s physical education teacher! I am excited to meet you all and look forward to having fun, learning valuable skills, and being active with all of your bright students in my class.

I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2021, where I earned a degree in Physical Education as well as an endorsement in Health Education. I began working at Apollo Elementary School in 2022! As a former District 63 and 207 student, I am grateful to be giving back to my wonderfully diverse community. 

I have a passion for being active, spending time with family and friends, and teaching all of your wonderful children! Some of my favorite ways to be active are hiking, playing volleyball, lifting weights, or just going for a nice walk with my family. I am Bosnian-American and have two older sisters as well as a niece and nephew. I also have a pet rabbit and cat who I love dearly!
