D63 has a mask-optional environment in its buildings and on buses for students and staff.
Our goal, as it has always been, is to keep students and staff safe and to keep our buildings open this year. We continue to follow guidance from IDPH and the Centers for Disease Control, to ensure that we achieve that goal.
It is important to note that the District reserves the right to re-institute mandatory mask wearing if local COVID-19 infection rates warrant it or if masking is required by law.
Parents, we ask that you speak with your children about your family's choice regarding wearing a mask at school - and about respecting the choices of others. Mistreatment of anyone based on masking choices will not be tolerated.
