School Board Elections 2023

  • School board elections are held during the Consolidated Election on the first Tuesday in April of each odd-numbered year. The 2023 School Board Elections included in the Spring Consolidated Elections will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

     

    District 63 residents will be electing three individuals to serve 4-year terms and one individual to serve the unexpired term of 2-years. The seats are currently held by Board members Tom Simmons (Vice-President), Janet Kaczkowski, and Katie Anderson (4 years) and the (2-year unexpired term) of Krystal Zec (Resignation effective August 4, 2022).

    School board candidates will file their nominating petitions and paperwork directly with the Cook County Clerk's Office. The Clerk has announced that the first day for school board candidates to circulate nominating petitions will be Tuesday, September 20, 2022. The candidate filing period begins Monday, December 12, 2022 (the first day for candidates to file their original nominating petitions, statement of candidacy, and receipt of filing of Statement of Economic Interests, to the office of county clerk or county board of election commissioners). On Monday, December 19, 2022, the candidate filing period ends.
