I am a Special Education teacher working with 6th grade students.Grade level standards are followed and lessons are designed to meet each student's unique needs and to foster collaboration, discovery, and learning.In resource each student's path is set according to his or her Individualized Education Program. Individual and small group instruction is complimented by the use of web-based programs. Some students may also receive speech and/or social work support.I began working at Gemini in January 1998. I earned my B.S. from the University of Illinois-Urbana, my J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, and both my Masters degrees (Special Education and School Administration) from Northeastern Illinois University.It is my pleasure to work with and learn from your children everyday!If you would like to contact me, the best way is by email--pburkman@emsd63.org.
