Reopening Our Buildings

  • Health and Safety

Did you know? D63 is partnering with Jewel-Osco on Pfizer vaccination clinics for all those aged 12 and up - 1st shot August 9; 2nd shot August 30. Learn more and schedule your appointment.

East Maine 63 is committed to keeping its schools open - and our students, staff, and families as safe as possible during our return to school. At this time, plans call for all schools to revert to a normal schedule - at full capacity - on August 16.

All students in grades K-8 will attend school for a full day on each school day and preschoolers will attend their in-person half-day schedule unless they are entitled under State Board rules to remain in remote learning.

    Remote Learning

This year, D63 will not be offering a remote learning program because, under the current Illinois State Board of Education guidelines, almost no student will qualify:

". . . remote instruction may be made available for students who are not eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine and are under a quarantine order by a local public health department or the Illinois Department of Public Health."

In addition, a student who has a family member ineligible for a vaccine and under a quarantine order would not qualify that student for remote learning.
