• E-learning WEEK April 13th - 16th, 2020 (No class on Friday)

     Students: This week you will have some choice in the activities you complete for your e-learning. You will be using a choice board for each of your subjects. Click on this link and it will take you to the choice boards. Please email me if you have any questions about your Choice Boards.

     1st Period- Resource Choice Board 

    If you have any questions as you work through the activities, you can email me at bkorah@emsd63.org from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

    Parents: Once your student has completed the designated activities, make sure to record his/her E-Learning Day Attendance through Powerschool.  

    E-learning WEEK April 6th - 9th, 2020 (No class on Friday)

    Period 1- Resource 

    8th Grade Resource Choice Board (Complete by Thursday)

    This choice board has the assignments for the week. Students can choose their activity from each column.

    1) Complete TWO Math Tasks

    2) Complete ONE Reading Task

    4) Complete ONE Writing Task

    5) Complete ONE Executive functioning Task

    To submit work, login to Google Classroom  for Resource and click on each assignment. 

    Period 3/4 & 5/6 - ELA (w/Mr.Thayer)   &     Period 9/10- ELA (w/Mrs. Russell)

    To begin working please do the following: 
    1. Watch the directions  (Important! This will really help you!)
    2. Open this week's choice board to begin working. 
     
    Choice Board Tasks
    1. Read the article
    2. Complete the Mini-lesson in box 5
    3. Complete 2 other boxes to complete a tic-tac-toe.
     
    If you struggle with reading, it will be a good idea to read Autumntime (one bar article). Also, it would be a good idea to choose 1 STAR activities. It's your choice though. 
     
    All assignments are due by midnight on Friday 4/10 (even though Friday is a day off...hopefully the extra day helps you!).

    • Read book club book for 30 mins and continue to find Big Ideas (central idea, theme, social issues)
      • Finish infographic and go through checklist  
      • Submit to Google Classroom under the classwork tab or take picture and email to Mr.

    •  Writing- Position Paper 1
      • Work on body paragraphs, using the Position Paper Outline as a guide
      • Add new angeling evidence to body paragraphs
      • Submit paragraph on "Checklist/Rubric Angle your Evidence (paragraph)" document of
        teacher feedback <--- you can find this under the classwork tab in Google Classroom

    Period 8/9- ELA (w/Mrs. Russell)
