Welcome to my class, welcome to my page, now let me introduce myself…

I am starting my 31st  year of teaching.  After teaching health for 30 years, I am now moving to teach Family and Consumer Science.

I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1988 with my Bachelor degree in Home Economics and Health Education and Masters degrees in Health Education.  I started my teaching career at River Grove School in River Grove, IL.  After six year there, I left and re-planted my roots in District #63.

When I am not in the classroom at Gemini I enjoying spending time with my family. We enjoy being outdoors.  Whether it's swimming, boating, playing tennis, or bike riding, you won't find us sitting around much!

This year I will also be start my nineth year as an adjunct professor at North Park University.  I teach a course in Health Curriculum and a course in Community Health.  I help prepare teachers to become health teachers!

My goal for the students in my classes is for them to gain the tools and knowledge they will need to face real world situations and make good decisions.
