My name is Veronica Spiratos and this is my third year working in District 63!
I grew up Glenview, IL and enjoy spending time with my big/loud Greek family and friends, reading lots of books, and trying out new recipes. I have two younger siblings and a dog named Memi with whom I spend a majority of my free time when I am not working. I have enjoyed working with children for the past 10 years and cannot wait to get started!
I attended Western Illinois University where I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology. After college, I worked at an Early Childhood and Education Center where I fell in love with working with young children in a school setting. I attended graduate school at National Louis University where I was able to combine my three passions of psychology, education, and working with children and just graduated with a Master's of Educational Psychology and Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
I have experience working with students of all ages. I worked as a practicum student for 2 years at an elementary school in River Trails District 26 and completed my internship last year at Niles West High School in District 219 and at Lincoln Jr. High School in Skokie/Morton Grove District 69.
I learned so much from all my experiences and am very excited to be working with elementary school students!
