A Little Bit About Me
I have a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Mills College in Oakland, California, and my ESL Endorsement through National Louis University. I have been teaching since 2003 and joined the East Maine School District 63 and First Steps Preschool Program in 2019. During my teaching career, I have worked in self-contained classrooms for children with Autism, inclusive classrooms for children of all abilities, and provided support as a resource teacher to teachers and children in community-based preschools.
I am a dog mama to Maggie and an "Auntie" to Charlie and Max. I enjoy traveling and camping; my favorite ways to travel are by going on road trips (or flying abroad) and staying in one place for longer to immerse myself in the culture. I also enjoy cooking, reading, spending time in nature with Maggie and my husband, Matthew, and hanging out with the rest of our family. I am also interested in yoga and mindfulness, art as creative self-expression, and nutrition and wellness.
