Hi! My name is Elvira Kimmel. I grew up in Evanston and went to Northwestern University where I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. I then went to Loyola University for graduate school and received my M. Ed. in School Psychology. After graduating from Loyola, I worked as a school psychologist in Buffalo Grove at CCSD 96 and Evanston/Skokie School District 65. I then took some time off to stay home with my children. For the last two years, I have worked as a maternity leave school psychologist in Mundelein District 120 and Arlington Heights District 214.
I live in Evanston with my husband, Ben, and our four children; Nikki (16), Alyssa (15), Kylie (13), and Kellen (9). My husband is a firefighter in Arlington Heights. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, and taking walks with our two dogs. I am looking forward to working with all the students, families and staff at Washington and Mark Twain!
