Hi, I am Christinia Hirsch, Intermediate Life Skills teacher at Apollo School.
I am a graduate of Harper College, Illinois State University, and University of Illinois. I have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, a Masters degree in Educational Administration, an ESL endorsement and I recently obtained my Assistive Technology Certificate at UIC with a focus in communication and autism.
I have been working with children and adults with disabilities since 2000 both in educational and recreational environments. I coach golf and basketball through Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) for athletes to compete in Special Olympics and ITRS events.
During my free time I enjoy being outside golfing, hiking, and gardening. I also love to cook and watch football and women's college basketball games.
