Teaching special education is an absolute passion of mine. I am so excited to work this year with you and your child. Although this year will look quite different, it will be a year of lots of learning and many adventures. We are in this together! I thought that you would want to know a little about me.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Grady, of 16 years. Together, we are raising two very sweet and very active boys, Lucas (12) and Jonathan (10). Both of our children will also be eLearning this school year, so it will be a true adventure for all of us! My free time is taken up mostly by attending their baseball games, tennis and drum lessons, and by just playing outside with them. Lucas says my curve ball is getting better! I also like to go glamping, the Chicago Cubs, home projects, travelling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.

I have lived in the area most of life! I attended Nelson Elementary School, Gemini Junior High, and graduated from Maine East High School. District 63 is a phenomenal district and I am lucky to be a part of it...again! I have two older brothers and we all live within a few miles of each other.

This will be my 15th year teaching all together. I believe that all students are capable of learning, in their own way, in their own time. My desire is for my students to know, that when they enter my classroom, they are entering a safe and welcoming environment. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to keep communication open. I am looking forward to a great school year!
