Research Sites:
Another search engine just for kids. They just type in a question and they get results.
http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/kidsclick!/
This site was created by librarians, but has info to websites on any subject. There are brief descriptions to the websites and they also give the reading level for each site. This is a great site to send kids searching on.
Biographies/Autobiographies on just about anyone you can think of from the past-who are not with us anymore. Pictures too!!
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/education/homework/index.html
This is National Geographic’s kids’ homework site. It has great pictures and information on tons of topics. This would be a great site to let kids explore on and soak up tons of information.
This is a good site for student research. It also states where information was found (i.e. an encyclopedia, almanac, dictionary, etc..).
