Welcome to Washington School where we inspire, challenge, and
nurture diverse learners to be leaders of tomorrow. Our students come from many different cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we celebrate the individual gifts that each child brings to our school community. We are dedicated to educating our special needs students in the least restrictive environment and seek to help them be successful in classes with their general education peers.
Our teachers are dedicated and caring professionals who take a
personal interest in every child and strive to meet their academic and social/emotional needs. We focus on providing rigorous instruction
based on the Common Core State Standards in a manner that allows every child to be successful. Through PBIS, we model expectations and reward students when those expectations are met as well as provide support to students who are struggling.
We are fortunate to have supportive parents who care about their children’s education, and we welcome parents’ participation at school. Our PTO meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 P.M. at Washington, and all families are invited to attend.
The Washington School staff feels it is important to collaborate with families. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at (847) 965-4780.
