A message from Pamela Surber, Director:
As the TLC Director, it is my goal to continue to nurture the growth of the TLC Program, ensuring that it provides children, families and community members with lifelong learning opportunities in a safe, educational and drug, alcohol and tobacco-free environment.
To that end, we are proud to welcome students from Culver School, District 71, in Niles who will be joining our Nelson TLC Program. The new name will be Nelson/Culver TLC and we are thrilled to have been selected as the afterschool program of choice for District 71! We know that Culver School students will enjoy learning and playing with Nelson School students during TLC. Welcome!
We are also expanding the length of the TLC year for the 2010-11 school year. We will begin on August 30, 2010 and end on June 2, 2011. Parents have requested a longer TLC year for a very, very long time and we are happy to be able to accommodate that request.
