The third & fourth graders are diligently working on original comics! They are studding how to draw bodies, details on clothes and expression on faces!

Color Theory Studdies! These artists learned everthing possible about color--
- primary, secondary & intermediate colors
-tint & shade
including how to make colors with only red, yellow & blue! We made abstract Joan Miro inspired paintings with watercolors and symmetrical object paintings with tempra.

Lines, patterns and shapes are the subject of our gorgeous projects made with aluminum tooling. What a fun media to work with! Students created stunning pieces by drawing directly onto the tooling - giving it a slight dimmensional look. We used permanent markers to add color
November 2008
Starry Night... but where??? Fourth Grades are taking a spin on a Vincent VanGogh classic. Each student has chosen a place to transform into their own version of Starry Night. Well know places like Rome, Chicago, India, and Paris are a few of the places you'll recognize in these beautiful pieces of art!

Fourth grade and 3-4 Multi-Age take a spin on a classic, American Gothic
That's right, in fourth grade we are giving an old classic american painting a 2008 twist. Grant Wood's American Gothic now has some new faces. Each student choose two current cartoon characters to fill in as the replacement for the farmer and his wife. Come back soon to see some examples.
