What's going on in the art room?
We are mulit-age! This is the place to be if you want to see what's going on with the first & second graders in art!
These budding artists are polishing their cutting & gluing skills. They are creating beautiful fall tree branches with some fun surprises!
ACTION! Second graders and the multi-agers learned how to draw people in action! They also created beautiful watercolor gardens!
Above & Under Ground Drawings
Weavings can be made of more than just fiber! We created weavings out of paper. Also, we drew portraits of our favorite story book character.
Who was Marc Chagall and what was his art about? 2nd graders brainstormed about things that were important to them. We then drew those things in a special drawing that included a portrait of themselves - just like Marc Chagall did. We had a great time using oil pastels.
A vision by the seaside... each 2nd grader has thier own. Journey with us to our beautiful multi-medium Seascapes.
Tell me a few of your favorite things... all the 2nd grade artists will be designing the fronts of thier sketchbooks with thier favorite things!
Second Graders are learning about the similarities and differences when drawing a portrait in the forward view and a side view. We have taken our knowledge and combine the portraits to become some crazy, creative, giant faces. Ms. Punches's class portraits are currently on display in the intermediate hallway.
