Nelson PTO Book Drive - For Your School, For Your Community
Do you have books your children have outgrown? Please send them to us!
Help fill the shelves of the Nelson School Library and classrooms with gently used books you have read and would like to share. To date, Ms. Dahl says we have added over 350 books to our school!
Healthy Snacks & Birthday Treats at School
The District 63 Board of Education has a wellness policy in fulfillment of the requirements of Public Law 108-265 and Public Act 094-0199. The policy places restrictions on food products like cookies, cupcakes, doughnuts, and other more traditional foods for consumption in school.
PTO Meeting Schedule
Our PTO meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Library. Free childcare is provided. All Nelson parents/guardians are invited to join us. The meeting schedule this year is September 6th, October 4th, November 1st, January 10th, February 7th, March 6th, April 3rd, and May 1st.
Market Day at Sara Lee Store
If you are not able to pick up your Market Day products here at Nelson School, please know you can purchase the same wonderful food items at the Sara Lee store, 7650 W. Touhy in Chicago. Just mention Nelson School at the time of purchase, and our PTO will still receive the percentage profit for our school! Thank you for your continued support of our PTO.
