The award winning Gemini Jazz Band is a wonderful ensemble that plays various styles of music, including jazz, rock, funk, and latin music.  This band travels to at least two competitions and also perform at several other events each year.  They rehearse 6-8 pm every Tuesday evening in addition to having one sectional for each instrument before school every week.  Each student must pass an audition to join the Gemini Jazz Band.

In recent years, the Jazz Band has performed for both the Morton Grove and the Niles Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinners, for the grand opening of a Meijer Superstore, have been invited to Sound Video Impressions, a professional recording studio, to create a CD, and has also earned the following awards:

North Shore Jazz Festival

6 Consecutive 1^st division rankings from 2006-2011

2011 – 2^nd place finish

2010 – 2^nd place finish

2009 – 3^rd place finish

2008 – 1^st place finish

Jazz in the Meadows Jazz Festival

4 Consecutive 1^st division ranking from 2007-2010

2010 – 2^nd place finish

2009 – 3^rd place finish

2008 – 3^rd place finish
