Beginning Band

Welcome to the Beginning Band Webpage! There are two beginning band teachers. Mr. Janus teaches beginning band students from Apollo, Stevenson, Melzer, and Mark Twain schools.  Mr. Budzik teaches beginning band students from Nelson and Washington schools.

Rehearsals:  The Nelson, Washington, and Melzer Beginning Band rehearses at Gemini Junior High School on Tuesday mornings from 7:45-8:40 a.m.  The Apollo, Stevenson and Mark Twain Beginning Band rehearses at Gemini Junior High School on Friday mornings from 7:15-8:20 a.m.  Families are responsible for transportation to Gemini, but the district buses will take the students from Gemini to their proper elementary schools.  The first rehearsals will be Tuesday October 25th and Friday October 28th.

 Lessons: Every district band student receives a small group lesson one time per week at their school.  Please click on the appropriate link in the "Lesson Schedule Files" on the right for your son or daughter's band lesson schedule. Lesson schedules will be online shortly.
