Congratulations to the Gemini Jazz Band and Symphonic Band for two fantastic performances!

The Symphonic Band recently performed at the Illinois Grade School Music Association Organization Festival, earning a 1st division, superior rating.  The Jazz Band recently performed at the Jazz in the Meadows Jazz Festival.  They earned a 1st division superior rating.  At this competition, they also rank the bands, and the Gemini Jazz Band earned 2nd place out of all of the junior high bands that performed!  Congratulations to all of the band students for all of your hard work!

Hello and welcome to the East Maine School District 63 webpage.  The Band program in district 63 serves students from 5th-8th grade in all seven schools of the district.  There are many bands to participate in, including Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band 1, and Jazz Band 2.  While the students begin at the most basic level of playing their instrument, many students reach an extremely high level of musicianship, most notably in the Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band 1.  Examples of some of the incredible music these talented students are able to produce can be found on the Music Recordings page.
